Investiture Ceremony Held at Guru Nanak Model Senior Secondary School

Doraha, August 20 (Amrish Anand): Guru Nanak Model Senior Secondary School, Doraha, organized its Investiture Ceremony with great zeal and enthusiasm on August 20. The event aimed at instilling a sense of leadership and responsibility among students, as selected student leaders were officially entrusted with their respective roles.The program commenced with a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, Ms. Rupinder Kaur Brar, Executive Manager of the School Management Committee, followed by the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony. The school choir presented a shabad, and the Chief Guest was honored with a bouquet.In his welcome address, Principal Dr. D.P. Thakur highlighted the achievements of the school. A cultural performance by junior students enthralled the audience, while representatives of all four houses — Mars, Saturn, Jupiter, and Earth — participated in a disciplined march-past.The student council appointments included Harsimran Singh as Head Boy and Tapinder Singh as Vice Head Boy; Harjot Kaur Rai as Head Girl and Harman Mundi as Vice Head Girl for the senior wing. In the junior wing, Arpit Kumar was chosen as Head Boy with Manveer Singh as Vice Head Boy, and Navya Pathak as Head Girl with Puneet Kaur as Vice Head Girl.The newly elected council members took an oath to uphold values of honesty, discipline, and service. The school anthem was presented by Ayesha of Class IV, adding charm to the event.Chairman Harpratap Singh Brar and members of the School Management Committee appreciated the successful conduct of the ceremony. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest congratulated the student leaders and urged them to fulfill their responsibilities with dedication. The event concluded with the National Anthem.
